Van deadlocks are essential for enhancing the security of your commercial vehicle. They provide an additional layer of protection against unauthorised access, particularly when the vehicle is unattended. At Mac Signs Ltd, we offer high-quality van deadlocks designed to meet the demanding requirements of commercial vehicle security.
A van deadlock is a mechanical locking device that operates independently from your vehicle’s manufacturer-installed locking system. Unlike standard locks, deadlocks require a separate key to operate, ensuring that even if an intruder compromises the vehicle’s primary locking mechanism, they cannot gain access without the specific key. This makes them a highly effective deterrent against theft and unauthorised entry.
A Hook Lock is a high-security locking system designed to offer superior protection compared to standard locks. Unlike regular deadlocks, a hook lock uses a “hook” style bolt that swings and latches into a specially fitted recipient (receiver keep) on the vehicle bodywork. This makes forced entry far more difficult — spreading or bending doors with crowbars or lever tools becomes significantly harder.
A Deadlock (or straight bolt deadlock) is a robust security solution made to complement or enhance your van’s existing locks. It works similarly to the L4V Deadlock: a straight bolt (typically 20-50 mm) is thrown into the van’s frame when locked, using a high-security external key. It operates totally independently of the factory fit locking mechanism
